1、 Tools required for installation:

Cleaning and tightening fasteners require various specific tools, and in addition, standard installation equipment must always be used and good safety operating methods must be followed.

The following equipment needs to be prepared before installation:

> Calibrated torque wrenches, hydraulic tightening wrenches, or other tightening tools;

> Steel wire brush, brass brush is better;

> Helmet;

> Eye protection;

> lubricant;

> Other factory regulations on tools, etc

2、 Installation steps for gaskets:

1. Inspection and cleaning:

> Remove all foreign impurities and debris from the clamping surface of the gasket, various fasteners (bolts, double headed bolts), nuts, and gaskets;

> Check for defects such as burrs, cracks, etc. on fasteners, nuts, and washers;

> Check whether the flange surface is warped or deformed, whether there are radial scratches, whether there are deep tool impact marks, or other defects that affect the correct seating of the gasket;

> If defective original parts are found, they should be replaced in a timely manner. If you have any questions about whether to replace them, you can contact Shengwei Company in a timely manner.

2. Align the flange:

> Align the flange surface and bolt holes;

> For any situation where positive feedback cannot be obtained, a report should be promptly submitted.

3. Install SUNWELL series gaskets for Saint Wei Seal:

> Confirm that the gasket meets the specified dimensions and materials;

> Check the gasket to ensure there are no defects;

> Carefully insert the Saint Wei sealing gasket between the two flanges;

> Confirm that the gasket is in the center position between the flanges;

> Unless the gasket installation instructions require the use of adhesive or anti adhesive, it cannot be used without authorization;

> Align the flange surface to ensure that the gasket is not punctured or scratched.

4. Lubricate the stressed surface:

> Only specified or approved lubricants are allowed to be used for lubricating the force bearing area;

> Apply sufficient lubricant on the stress surfaces of all threads, nuts, and washers;

> Ensure that the lubricant does not contaminate the surface of the flange or gasket.

5. Install and tighten bolts:

> Always use the right tools

Use calibrated torque wrenches or other controllable tightening tools;

> Consult with the Shengwei Sealing Engineering Department regarding torque requirements and regulations;

> When tightening the nut, follow the "cross symmetry principle";

Tighten the nut according to the following 5 steps:

Step 1: Initially tighten all nuts manually, and use a small manual wrench to assist in tightening larger nuts;

Step 2: Tighten each nut to approximately 30% of the required total torque;

Step 3: Tighten each nut to approximately 60% of the required total torque;

Step 4: Re tighten each nut using the "cross symmetry principle" to achieve 100% of the required all wood torque

Note: Large diameter flanges can be used more times to perform the above steps;

Step 5: Tighten all nuts in a clockwise direction at least once to achieve the required torque.

> Fasteners that have received corrosion heat cycles need to be tightened again;

> The operation of tightening again should be carried out under ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure.
